An hour and ten minutes into this one, I was hating it. The last fifteen minutes salvaged it...a bit. The majority of this film is Samara Weaving running through a dark forest, chased either by cult members who want to sacrifice her to some sort of creatures, or by the creatures themselves.
There is no dialogue in the movie as the cult believes speech is a sin. So, no way to communicate backstory, character motives, or...anything really. I'm a big Samara Weaving fan but I'm betting most people don't stick with this one until the end, but the payoff is pretty good.
I'm reluctantly giving it a C+ mostly because the end was pretty great. Streaming on Shudder.
